The National Curriculum Framework (NCF), 2005 recommends that children’s life at school must be linked to their life outside the school. This principle marks a departure from the legacy of bookish learning which continues to shape our system and causes a gap between school, home and community. The syllabus and textbooks developed on the basis of NCF signify and attempt to implement this basic idea. Emphasis is placed on educating the whole child, which ensures that attention is paid not just too intellectual abilities, but also to social emotional and physical growth. Each student’s unique talents are nurtured and developed. From the age of five, all children have daily Literacy and Numeracy Lessons.
